What makes Maitland special?
I spent over a month walking around, exploring, researching our small town in Central Florida. Thinking about the characteristics and unique history that shaped Maitland, and gave it an identity seperate from Winter Park or Orlando. Places like the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey to the Art & History Museum or Maitland’s history in producing Oranges. The beautiful lakes and peaceful timeless feeling of nostalgia for simpler days are in the landscape and the architecture here… still. It’s easy to appreciate, and it was an absolute honor to paint this mural.
