About Marable Studios

Owner / Artist
Hello,
I am Aaron Marable, a Central Florida artist with over two decades of experience in the scenic and theming industry.
I’ve spent most of my life making things with my hands.
I grew up around print shops, construction sites, tools, materials, and problem-solving — learning early that good work comes from patience, repetition, and respect for craft. That foundation carried me into a career as a professional scenic artist and fabricator, where for more than two decades I’ve helped build immersive environments, sets, and large-scale themed projects throughout Central Florida.
That work taught me scale, durability, texture, and storytelling — how materials behave, how finishes age, and how objects quietly shape the way people feel in a space.
But long before the big builds and deadlines, the draw was always the same: making something real, from start to finish, with my own hands.
Why Handmade Florida Art Exists
Handmade Florida Art grew out of a desire to slow things back down.
After years working at industrial scale, I wanted a body of work that stayed personal — pieces made one at a time, without shortcuts, where the marks of the process are still visible. Woodworking and painting became a way to reconnect with the fundamentals: material, time, and intention.
Every piece in the Handmade Florida Art collection is built in my workshop in Florida. Designs are inspired by the state’s wildlife, waterways, coastlines, and working landscapes — not as souvenirs or trends, but as honest interpretations shaped through craft.
These are not mass-produced objects. They are carved, painted, finished, and handled repeatedly until they feel right.
Craftsmanship First
I approach every piece with the same mindset I bring to professional scenic work:
materials should feel authentic
finishes should age gracefully
and function should never be an afterthought
Some pieces are purely expressive. Others are functional objects meant to be used daily. All of them are made to last.
Whenever possible, work is produced in small batches or limited runs to protect quality and process. If something can’t be made well, it doesn’t get made at all.
A Note on the Work
If you’re here, it’s likely because you value things made with care — not perfection, but honesty. The knots in the wood, the brush marks in the paint, and the evidence of the hand are part of the story.
That story is what I’m building with Marable Studios and Handmade Florida Art:
a growing body of work rooted in craft, place, and time.
Thanks for being here.
